Why We Dance

Close

I had a great opportunity to sit down and talk with my cousin Michelle about her walk with God and her new book.

(FH) It's always great to see people living out there dreams. But, it's amazing, when you find out that your cousin is talented and enjoys writing and loves God. Let every one know who you are and where you are from.

(MJ) First of all I would like to start out by saying what an honor it is to be interviewed by you Frederick. Thank you so much for the opportunity to share on this amazing platform. My name is Michelle Jones also known asFree2BMJ. I am from the beautiful state of Alabama where I currently reside in Prattville, Alabama.

(FH) Ok, I'm going to get right into it. Me and my wife Katrina was at your house some time ago and it's crazy that we never talk about writing or anything pertaining to entertainment or public speaking. Then months later, I go on social media and see this post about your book. What's the name of your book? What is it about? How did you come about writing it?

(MJ) The name of my new book is "Free To Be Ms. Jones: Trust In The Love Romance". I share about how I once lived a life of bondage due to the lack of trust in my life. I didn't trust my Mother, my Father, myself or God. While in this love romance with God he gave me a TRUST strategy which is True Relationship Understanding Self Totally. It took me all of my youth and some of my adulthood to finally see the truth that God & I are one. This is my first true relationship. Once I got that understanding we no longer had a love romance but were married as one. (you know how a love romance can be, sometimes your in and sometimes your out) You must understand who you are and who you belong to and become one. Then and only then will you know thy self and get the totally of knowing your purpose in life. So, you too can be free to be the person you were created to be.

(FH) Did you ever say to yourself that one day I want to write a book.

(MJ) Awesome question Frederick! I have always loved to read and write. As a kid I would take books and read them aloud to myself as though I was reading to an audience. It's always been a passion of mine and the urge grew stronger as I moved into adulthood. I never thought I was good enough to write or that I had anything worthy to say until God told me my seemingly mess of a life was my message. Our stories are not for ourselves but are for the masses that we mirror to. We are all here to be helpers one to another. So my first love told me to write and I did. The gift manifested as I obeyed what I was prompted to do.

(FH) What's one thing you would tell someone that is interested in writing a book?

(MJ) The first thing I would tell anyone who was interested in writing a book is to just get started. Just write, don't worry about editing or anything. Just get out on paper all that is inside of you. You do not have to be great to get started, but you do have to get started in order to be great. It was scary, because it was all of my ugly that he was asking me to share. It brought up feelings I had learned to numb and now I had to sit in it. It's one reason it took me a year to complete this story because it was also part of my healing process. I was definitely moving in faith.

(FH) Through the good times and the bad let every one know Why You Dance.

(MJ) It's funny you would ask me that question. Lol. In my book I share a quick story about when I rededicated my life back to God as an adult and joined a Holiness church. While everyone praised and danced my feet were bound and would not move. But, once I learned who I am and who I belong to, I became free. I learned to TRUST and that is "WHY I DANCE" like there is no tomorrow. Whom the son set free is free indeed. Thank you Frederick for this amazing interview. Until the next time be mindful be blessed and peace. Much love to you and the Frederick Hand Show on 105.1 Hallelujah FM,and iHeart crew.
