Deon Kipping
Stay committed to what God has told you to do, that’s
all that matters. Study artists that came before you, not
to copy but to learn what works and what doesn’t. Study
and be you. The people before us wrote songs about
culture and life which is good, but they also had strong
lyric content. I believe Gospel music still has a way to go,
the state of Gospel is cool but there’s room for growth.
Pastor Marlon Lock
People need to understand, Satan being in
music himself, is a fallen angel so he uses music and
there’s certain chords and music that can grab you.
So, I call my music intimate worship, the Bible says in
Psalm 42:8, "By day the Lord directs his love, at night
his song is with me - a prayer to the God of my life."
A lot of times when you go through, so many people
say, "I want prayer," "Can you pray for me?" "Can you
help me?" At night when you're calm and everything
has slowed down and you have time to think about
the choices you have made, whether it’s a mistake or
your next move, you really need the Lord to be with
you and that’s where my song, "Be with Me,"
came from.
