SYNOPSIS
The Gospel Xperience is a documentary based on the impact and influence Gospel music has on the world. A common theme of
most Gospel music is praise, worship or thanks to God, Christ, or the Holy Spirit. This documentary will explore this theme along
with the style which is marked by strong rhythms and elaborated refrains, and incorporating elements of spirituals, blues, and jazz.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Inspired by his love for Gospel music, David M. Wallace, artist, writer and director began this project to shine the light on one
of the most influential music genres in the world. “I believe that Gospel music has grown so much in recent years in style and
acceptance but we should never be satisfied, we need to spread the Gospel around the world. Our music has the ability to
connect to people on a greater level than any other genre.” says David M. Wallace

Interviews
This film will feature compelling interviews with some of the top names in the Gospel & Christian music industry.
Here are some snippets.

Pastor Debra Morton
I think Gospel Music if it comes from God can be a great witnessing tool as a sermon, because music is universal, I think sometimes it can go places that we can't, so I think it can be very powerful and even the fact that they are playing some of the songs on secular stations I think that's a tremendous blessing because we keep preaching to the church, so I think when it cross overs when it is of God it is good that the music can be very powerful to change lives.
Bishop Leonard Scott
This day we've seen the evolution of what we
call Praise and Worship music, which has
added a new twist to Gospel Music. It's kind of
something that's on both sides of the fence. On
the black side you have what is called Gospel
and on the white side you have Christian, and
straight down the middle you have Praise and
Worship, it is accepted by everybody, and where
its is going from here who knows, I guess time
will tell.

Ami Rushes

There's no barriers stopping us now, maybe there
was at one time and is it needed? Oh my God it's
needed more today than ever ever before, look at
the times that we are living in, we need God, we
need hope, we need to know that we will make
it through this, and we need peace and we need
Jesus so very much.

David Gough

I kind of coined the phrase that "Gospel Music
is not just for Sunday's anymore", by production
becoming a higher quality, by the entire country
being under so more duress and them just
wanting to hear an encouraging inspirational
word through music a lot of people have turned
back to it and they are embracing it the more.
Pastor Harold Rayford
When I grew up the only people that could relate to
Gospel Music were folk that went to church, it had
not reached outside the four walls of the church,
but thanks to people like the Hawkins family, Andre
Crouch, and the Clark Sisters and most notably the
Winans, they were the ones who kind of opened the
door for people like Kirk Franklin who just knocked
the door down.

This is just a brief taste of this exciting project and the artists
who already have made great contributions.
