Episode 7: “Singing The Blues”

In the beginning of this episode we see the worries of everyone trying to complete Mary Mary’s new album. SInce both sisters are now pregnant, the duo wants to stay relevant and in the scene before they get forgotten (which I highly doubt). Mase has a comeback doing a track on the Mary Mary’s new album. Erica and Tina communication becomes horrible, but I think it is too much baby hormones going around.

Tina is a perfectionist and her daughter is turning out to be just like her. Tina is afraid and she has too much going out, but she has a heart to heart to her mother. People can really relate to this, especially working mothers. Erica and her mother then has a heart to heart about Tina’s issues. At this point you are unsure what is going to be next for this duo. They decide to do a spa day to try and talk about things. A solo career is talked about, which is scary because the fans love Mary Mary. They go to see a therapist to work their relationship out, which digs deep down to the core issue. She tells them to resolve their issue is to go back to the past, to see what brought them together.

The duo goes to visit their old neighborhood; they recall their love, schools, homes and grandma’s house. This group is more than just a group, they are family/sisters at the end of the day.

Erica has her baby shower, which turns out amazing and fun. Lets see what happens next week.

Oh Baby Baby Baby!

Episode 6 is all about Tina and her pregnancy. We are started off with Tina breaking the news to her husband, which is emotional. She may not have wanted another baby but God has given them another one. Teddy was understanding and said the right words for his wife.

Tina is still unhappy and very very very emotional. Tina has to break it to Mitch and that’s a problem because both sisters are pregnant, so what will happen to the duo?
They were requested to perform at the Grammys. But with Erica being due on the Grammys day, they will most likely not perform, even though Erica wants to induce her labor so they can.

Erica husband plans a romantic dinner for the two of them. You really see how much love these two share between each other. Only bad thing about the romantic dinner is that he chose a boat ride. Great decision is the gift he got her. Bling Bling Ring! He also puts his foot down on inducing the baby for the Grammys. So what now?

Can’t forget about Goo Goo’s boyfriend that comes into town and the duo wants to meet him. Once they do they sure enough ask the man a million and one questions. They act like private investigators and start interrogating the man. I felt so sorry for him, but I understood where they were coming from. Goo is grown and can make her own decisions. But at the end he did pass the test!

Tina finally told Mitch and he is over overwhelmed. What about touring? Mary Mary has a lot on their plate right now. I hope it all plays out well. Let’s see what happen next episode when the sisters really have to deal with the duo’s future together.

This episode has been all about family. We start with the sisters doing a vlog and after recording they start discussing Erica’s recent pregnancy which turns into Tina thinking she is pregnant. This is what starts the episode and ends it.

Then the duo starts to plan a weekend getaway together with all the sisters of the family. Erica wants to do pole dancing and Tina is not interested in that because they are a gospel group. Erica is explaining its more of a work out then sexual. When Mommy and Daddy get involved, Daddy is happy about it and reveals his past before church. Daddy has some secrets…..okay!

While away the husbands shall play. They decide to invite Des, who recently got engaged to Alana (younger sister); so they tell him how it is to deal with a Atkins girl. My advice is to just pray!

End of the episode the sisters force Tina to take a pregnancy test and the results are……………………………….She’s Pregnant! Instead of being happy Tina and Erica are upset, but the other sisters are joyful. The duo finally gives in and accept the pregnancy. Mary Mary career is now on a stand still until further notice. Lets see what next week’s episode brings. See Ya!

This episode had a lot going on. We opened up with the duo working on a new single “Go Get It” with of course Erica’s husband wrote and produced. Tina is of course late and this is when we are introduced to her bad time management skills. The first round of doing the song, they are off and Warryn gets worried because he has to let someone from the label listen to it and hope its gold.

Of course the duo gets it done and it sounds awesome and the guy who listened to it loved it. But that’s not all that happens in this episode; baby sister Alana gets engaged to her boyfriend Des, which was so sweet. But Erica of course now needs to find a new nanny.

Tina continues with her bad time management when the duo gets honored at the church they grew up in and they are receiving an honorary doctorate. Tina goes to her daughters show which runs late and that also makes her late for the ceremony. Everyone is upset and Erica is pissed because this is the church they grew up in and she feels that Tina is being disrespectful. Erica does not want to deal with this for another year.

Lets see how the next episode goes. I hope Erica lets Tina know how she feels.

Phew, Mary Mary reality show is definitely developing by each episode, we are now moving out of the introductions from episode one and the family bonding from episode two, to now seeing some real family issues between the duo as business partners and sisters.

This episode continues from the last episode; when they canceled the tour. Mitchell, finally lets them know the real damage it has cost them to cancel which is $250,000. The whole team is forced to take a reduction, but stylist/sister Goo is not down for that, instead she wants a raise. That starts off a disagreement with the sisters. But we see at the end family is family and they make up.

Tina has a pregnancy scare and decides to take the test at Erica’s doctors appointment. Which was kind of selfish. This duo is exciting, fun and loving. I can’t seem to stop watching them because unlike most reality shows, this duo seems real. Share your thoughts.

In the last episode of Mary Mary’s reality show, we stepped into Tina’s world with her weight gain issue and the way she dresses at home for her husband.

Then in Erica’s world; she is having early contractions at 7 months pregnant, when she sees her family doctor; she is told to slow down and go on bed rest before she goes into premature labor. Her cervix is too low from 2 inches to a half inch. This leads to Mary Mary canceling their tour “Have A Mary Mary Christmas”

This show has really impressed me and keeps getting better because the issues are real and everyone can relate too. For example, Tina’s weight issue, every women is sensitive about that and does not want to be told they have gained weight. Also when her husband expressed his feelings on how he felt about her style of fashion. He may have had a problem before, but since they are on baby number 5, i think that issue has been resolved.

Every pregnant women has been scared of premature labor. Even though Erica was willing to go through the tour, her doctor and sister were against it. Her baby’s health comes first. I am glad she chose to cancel.

I am excited to see next weeks episode.
