Encore: Tell us about your debut album entitled "I Will Bless the Lord".

Pastor Jordan: In your most trying times you can laugh, cry and rejoice. There’s something for everybody, the songs are well-rounded and have a powerful message.

Encore: In 2019, you released a new single called, "Give God the Glory", can you tell us about the vision of that?

Pastor Jordan: God has been so good to me, I always watch the Stellar Awards which is the biggest night in Gospel. I was afforded the opportunity to be a presenter at the pre-show which is still kind of surreal to me. So, when I came back home I began to pen the lyrics, "Give God the glory, for all he has done, we have the victory, the battle is already won." I just want people to know, we have to give God the glory for everything in our lives. The bad times are working in our favor to help us understand when the good times come. Sometimes, we don’t understand everything we go through, but we have to trust God for his plan. So, "Give God the Glory", is just a real churchy, feel good song reflecting on how good God has been.

Encore: In 2017, your goal of becoming a police officer was accomplished, tell us about that feat.

Pastor Jordan: I was playing with Music World Entertainment for 4 years, then Solange Knowles got signed to Interscope and they dropped the band. That right there was very challenging, because all of us in the band thought we were about to get on and be big, but they picked up another band. So, here it is I have kids and a wife and I’m like, "I got to make something shake, I have to get a job." I started praying about it and I was very passionate about being a cop since being a kid. I already had my degree, so I went to the police academy and did the training. It was challenging not just physically, but mentally. So, I went through it and here I am now, going on serving 3 years as being a police officer.
